Recap (by teacher):

Revision of rules on handling equipment

1. Rules on handling rackets

2. Collect according to index number

3. No poking of membrane with fingers

 

Rules extension (by teacher):

Ask questions to stimulate thinking among pupils.

"Are there people around you trying out the same thing as you?"

"When you are so excited and you swing the rackets really hard and fast, what unsafe/dangerous things may happen?"

"How do you think we can make it more safe? Stand closer or spaced out? Swing the racket very fast or move like the instructor?"

 

From the pupils' responses, teacher briefs the extended (safety) rules:

4. Space yourself out.

5. Do not swing the racket fast.

 

Activity (by Instructor):

1. Practice basic steps from previous session.

2. Advance to more varied movements.

3. Practise set routine with song

 

Reflection/Discussion (by teacher):

Ask questions to stimulate reflection and open for discussion.

 

1. Remind pupils about how it was like practicing the basic steps in the beginning of the practice session.

"How did you feel when practising the basic steps like in our previous session?"

"Do you think and feel that you could do it better today than last week?"

 

2. Remind pupils about how it was like practising more varied/elaborated steps/movement/coordination.

"What was easy?"

"What was difficult?"

"Do you know which part you did best?"
