Very Beautiful Story

๐Ÿ’œ Very Beautiful Story ๐Ÿ’œ

A lovely little girl was holding two apples with both hands.

Her mum came in and softly asked her little daughter with a smile: "my sweetie, could you give your mum one of your two apples?"

The girl looked up at her mum for some seconds, then she suddenly took a quick bite on one apple, and then quickly on the other.

The mum felt the smile on her face freeze. She tried hard not to reveal her disappointment.

Then the little girl handed one of her bitten apples to her mum,and said:
"mummy, here you are.
This is the sweeter one."

No matter who you are, how experienced you are, and how knowledgeable you think you are, always delay judgement. Give others the privilege to explain themselves.

What you see may not be the reality. Never conclude for others.

Which is why we should never only focus on the surface and judge others without understanding them first.

๐Ÿ’• Those who like to pay the bill, do so not because they are loaded but because they value friendship above money.

๐Ÿ’•Those who take the initiative at work, do so not because they are stupid but because they understand the concept of responsibility.

๐Ÿ’•Those who apologizes first after a fight, do so not because they are wrong but because they value the people around them.

๐Ÿ’•Those who are willing to help you, do so not because they owe you any thing but because they see you as a true friend.

๐Ÿ’•Those who often text you, do so not because they have nothing better to do but because you are in their heart.

๐Ÿ’• One day, all of us will get separated from each other; we will miss our conversations of everything & nothing; the dreams that we had.

Days will pass by, months, years, until this contact becomes rare...

One day when we see our pictures and ask ourselves 'Who are these people?'

And we will smile with invisible tears because a heart is touched with a strong word and you will say: 'IT WAS THEM THAT I HAD THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE WITH'.

How can I raise a gracious loser? (ages 5 to 8) | BabyCenter

How can I raise a gracious loser? (ages 5 to 8) | BabyCenter

How can I raise a gracious loser? (ages 5 to 8)

While it's perfectly natural for your child to be disappointed when she loses something she's worked hard for, like the championship soccer game, it is important for her to learn to accept loss without feelings of bitterness or low self-esteem. A child who doesn't learn to lose graciously has a hard time making friends and is often frustrated by failures. Here are some ways to encourage a sourpuss to sweeten up.

  • Play on your child's sense of empathy. At this age, she's starting to develop the ability to put herself in another person's place. She can now begin to understand that getting angry when she doesn't win hurts the feelings of the people she's playing with. Ask her to think about how it would feel if someone got angry at her when she did something she was proud of. Tell her that it's okay to be sad about losing, but she should try not to hurt others because of it.
  • Play cooperative games. Noncompetitive games eliminate winning and losing altogether and help your child learn what it's like to play on a team. Try hitting a balloon back and forth, or play a game of Chinese checkers in which the idea is to get your marbles on her side and hers on your side at roughly the same time. As children get older, they will have to start playing with teammates to accomplish a common goal, and cooperative games give them a great foundation for this.
  • Emphasize effort, skill, and fun. It's trite but true: "It's not whether you win or lose but how you play the game." Your job is to get your child to take this adage to heart. After she plays a game with a friend, ask, "Did you have a good time?" instead of "Who won?" Offer praise for anything done well, no matter how small it may seem. The more you can get your child thinking about developing the skills needed to be a good player — regardless of the outcome — the less important winning becomes.
  • Teach your child how to win and lose well. Show her what it means to be a good winner and a good loser. Tell her that good winners don't brag about victories or make fun of another player's skills. And help her become a good loser by giving her opportunities to lose as she plays against you. It seems harsh, but she'll never learn the skill if she doesn't practice it. Most important, don't let her see you being a poor sport. Take your losses well, and always congratulate the winner.

If your child regularly "loses it" when she loses, you might need to take a break from game playing altogether. Turn the focus to other areas of her life that she can feel good about. And teach her that mistakes are okay by not reacting harshly when she makes one. For example, instead of getting angry about a bad grade in school, talk about what she can do to do better. In time, you should see some improvement.

Don't underestimate our daily "hi and byes"!

22/9/15 4:06:35 pm: Linda Nah!: A lady worked at a meat distribution factory. One day, when she finished with her work schedule, she went into the meat cold room (Freezer) to inspect something, but in a moment of misfortune, the door closed and she was locked inside with no help in sight. Although she screamed and knocked with all her might, her cries went unheard as no one could hear her. Most of the workers had already gone, and outside the cold room it's impossible to hear what was going on inside. Five hours later, whilst she was at the verge of death, the security guard of thefactory eventually opened the door. She was miraculously saved from dying that day. When she later asked the security guard how he had come to open the door, which wasn'this usual work routine. His explanation: "I've been working in this factory for 35 years, hundreds of workers come in and out every day, but you're one of the few who greet me in the morning and say goodbye to me every night when leaving after work. Many treat me as if I'm invisible. Today, as you reported forwork, like all other days, you greeted me in your simple manner 'Hello'. But this evening after working hours, I curiously observed that I had not heard your "Bye, see you tomorrow". Hence, I decided to check around the factory. I look forward to your 'hi' and 'bye' every day because they remind me that I am someone. By not hearing your farewell today, I knew something had happened. That's why I was searching every where for you.

Moral Lesson to reflect upon: Be humble, love and respect those around you. Try to have an impact on people who cross your path every day, you never know what tomorrow will bring. Let this story be an inspiration.

Let's share to inspire others;someone else shared this to inspire me...

WIZ KHALIFA LYRICS - See You Again

WIZ KHALIFA LYRICS - See You Again

WIZ KHALIFA LYRICS

[Charlie Puth:]
It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
We've come a long way from where we began
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again
(Hey)

[Wiz Khalifa:]
Damn, who knew?
All the planes we flew
Good things we've been through
That I'll be standing right here talking to you
'Bout another path
I know we loved to hit the road and laugh
But something told me that it wouldn't last
Had to switch up
Look at things different, see the bigger picture
Those were the days
Hard work forever pays
Now I see you in a better place (see you in a better place)

Uh
How can we not talk about family when family's all that we got?
Everything I went through you were standing there by my side
And now you gon' be with me for the last ride

[Charlie Puth:]
It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again (I see you again)
We've come a long way (yeah, we came a long way) from where we began (you know we started)
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again (let me tell you)
When I see you again

(Aah oh, aah oh
Wooooh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Yeah

[Wiz Khalifa:]
First you both go out your way
And the vibe is feeling strong
And what's small turn to a friendship
A friendship turn to a bond
And that bond will never be broken
The love will never get lost (and the love will never get lost)
And when brotherhood come first
Then the line will never be crossed
Established it on our own
When that line had to be drawn
And that line is what we reach
So remember me when I'm gone (remember me when I'm gone)

How can we not talk about family when family's all that we got?
Everything I went through you were standing there by my side
And now you gon' be with me for the last ride

[Charlie Puth:]
So let the light guide your way, yeah
Hold every memory as you go
And every road you take, will always lead you home, home

It's been a long day without you, my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
We've come a long way from where we began
Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again
When I see you again

(Aah oh)
(Uh)
(Aah oh)
(Yeah)
(Wooooh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
(Ya, ya)
When I see you again
(Uh)
See you again
(Wooooh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
(Yeah, yeah, uh-huh)
When I see you again

Happiness

>
> A man of 92 years, short, very well-presented, who takes great care in his appearance, is moving into an old people's home today.
>
> After waiting several hours in the retirement home lobby, he gently smiles as he is told that his room is ready.
>
> His wife of 80 has recently died, and he is obliged to leave his home.
>
> As he slowly walks to the elevator, using his cane, I describe his small room to him, including the sheet hung at the window which serves as a curtain.
>
> "I like it very much", he says, with the enthusiasm of an 8 year old boy who has just been given a new puppy.
>
> " You haven't even seen the room yet, hang on a moment, we are almost there. "
>
> " That has nothing to do with it ", he replies.
>
> " It is already decided in my mind that I like my room. It is a decision I take every morning when I wake up. "
>
> " Happiness is something I choose in advance. Whether or not I like the room does not depend on the furniture, or the decor rather it depends on how I decide to see it. "
>
> "I can choose. I can spend my day in bed enumerating all the difficulties that I have with the parts of my body that no longer work very well, or I can get up and give thanks to heaven for those parts that are still in working order. "
>
> "Every day is a gift, and as long as I can open my eyes, I will focus on the new day, and all the happy memories that I have built up during my life. "
>
> "Old age is like a bank account. You withdraw in later life what you have deposited along the way. "
>
> So, my advice to you is to deposit all the happiness you can in your bank account of memories.
>
> Thank you for your part in filling my account with happy memories, which I am still continuing to fill.

Adulterated groceries we get in the market...

Adulterated groceries we get in the market ...
I thought only in CHINA & now INDIA  too  !
How to check  Adulterated groceries we get in the market?
13 Smart Ways To Spot Adulterated Food

Be it milk, paneer, tea or oil, nothing comes in its purest form. Until the time it reaches you it is adulterated and it then becomes harmful. Therefore, here are 13 tricks to spot the golmaal that happens with your daily food items.

1. Tea

tea

The chai you're drinking isn't coming straight away from the Assam fields.
How to spot fake: In order to check whether the chai powder is pure, put a teaspoon of it in cold water; if the cold water turns brown then your chai is adulterated!

2. Frozen peas

green peas

We stock frozen peas in our refrigerators because they come in handy. However, some packets consist a dye compound called 'malachite green', which can trigger stomach related ailments.
How to spot fake:  Take water in a kadhai and put some peas and stir. If the water turns green, then immediately discard the packet as they are unsafe to consume.

3. Cinnamon sticks

cinammon sticks

You can find out if you have bought authentic cinnamon sticks.
How to spot fake: Smash the sticks with your hands, if your hands get coloured then they are authenticate, if not then they aren't.

4. Turmeric root

turmeric

Even if you're crushing the turmeric roots and consuming it, the roots can be fake.
How to spot fake: Take a turmeric root on paper and pour cold water over it. If the root leaves colour, it's a polished one and is impure.

5. Apples

wax apples

A polished apple will not keep you away from the doctor, but will take you to one. Did you know that apples are polished with wax to give them a 'fresh' look?
How to spot fake: To see if your apple isn't wax covered, take a knife and slowly scrape the skin of your apple. If the knife extracts white, then that's wax!

6. Black Pepper

pepper

Even pepper can be adulterated with mineral oil!
How to spot fake: An adulterated pepper would shine and emit kerosene smell.

7. Cumin seeds

jeera

Cumin seeds (jeera) are very essential part of cooking as we use it in our tadka daily. They can be coloured with charcoal dust.
How to spot fake: Crush the seeds in your palm, if your palm turns black then they contain charcoal.

8. Milk

milk

Our milkman not only fools by adding water to it. Milk can be adulterated with detergent and synthetic milk too.
How to spot fake: Mix 10 ml of water and milk in the same proportion. If you notice foam or lather, then the milk contains detergent. To detect synthetic milk, boil the milk. If a yellowish lather forms, then the milk is synthetic milk.

9. Coriander powder

coriander powder

There could be sawdust in your coriander powder.
How to spot fake:  Put some coriander powder in the water, the flakes of sawdust will float on water.

10. Coconut oil

coconut oil

Coconut oil can be adulterated with other cheap oils.
How to spot fake: Put the coconut oil bottle in refrigerator, the solidified layer is coconut oil, whereas the liquid oil is an adulterant.

11. Honey

honey

To find granules of sugar is not a foolproof way to check the purity of honey.
How to spot fake: Take a cotton wick and dip it in honey. Then try to burn it. If the wick burns readily then the honey is pure, and if it crackles then it's not.

12. Paneer

paneer

That paneer in your paneer mutter is not really paneer. It's starch. Paneer is one of the most adulterated items in our country.
How to spot fake: Take water and put a cube of paneer and boil it. Once it cools down, put some drops of iodine solution on it. If the paneer turns blue, then the starch is present in it.

13. Chilli powder

chilli powder

Did you know you could be eating brick instead of chilli powder? That's because crushed red brick looks exactly like chilli powder and therefore it is put in your masala.
How to spot fake: Put a teaspoon of chilli powder in a glass of water. If the solution emits colour then your chilli powder is adulterated.

LESSONS OF LIFE

LESSONS OF LIFE

There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away. The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall.

When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen. The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise. The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen. The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.

The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life. He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.

If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall. Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest. Don't judge life by one difficult season. Persevere through the difficult patches and better times are sure to come sometime or later.

An Inspirational article shared by my friend.

The test of three

19/7/15 10:33:55 am: Kwee! Chang: In ancient Greece (469 - 399 BC), Socrates was widely lauded for his wisdom. One day the great philosopher came upon an acquaintance who ran up to him excitedly and said, "Socrates, do you know what I just heard about one of your students?"

"Wait a moment," Socrates replied. "Before you tell me I'd like you to pass a little test. It's called the Test of Three."

"Test of Three?"

"That's right," Socrates continued. "Before you talk to me about my student let's take a moment to test what you're going to say. The first test is Truth. Have you made absolutely sure that what you are about to tell me is true?"

No," the man said, "actually I just heard about It."

"All right," said Socrates. "So you don't really know if it's true or not. Now let's try the second test, the test of Goodness. Is what you are about to tell me about my student something good?"

"No, on the contrary..."

"So," Socrates continued, "you want to tell me something bad about him even though you're not certain it's true?"

The man shrugged, a little embarrassed.

Socrates continued. "You may still pass though, b ecause there is a third test - the filter of Usefulness. Is what you want to tell me about my student going to be useful to me?"

"No, not really."

"Well," concluded Socrates, "if what you want to tell me is neither True nor Good nor even Useful, why tell it to me at all?"

The man was defeated and ashamed. This is the reason Socrates was a great philosopher and held in such high esteem. It also explains why he never found out that Plato was banging his wife.

Here is an interesting reply

The government had done it, if you look at the facilities of the current schools, Uni-institution, Polys, and ITE.
You can't denial that the government never do, Ask yourself with the school fees that you ditch out monthly, is that enough for the operation and construction cost?  Government have not make it loud enough for everybody to be heard.  Yet some of the citizen choose and pick even they have not make a little effort themselves.

Open the senses, you will experience the different.  These cannot be too obvious as it has some repercussion to consider too, be more multi-dimension.  And not just look at debts alone.  To be able to loan that much, is a honor that "trusted" our trade mark by others.  Try other country, they might not able to do it.  As the investor, they might not look at other factors, but for sure, we all knew how the economics intertwine with every aspect of a society that makes the economical structure of this world.  How delicate is to move a parameter to affect the others.  Not to mention that investor that quotes, whether is he that integrated with the community or just based on hear say or press data?  Worst, with a specific motive?  The world is integrated as all knew, war is trans-countries, equity markets changes the international markets in nano-second, and how can one just put debt published alone make a stand, whether is 1 or 8, all has a different meaning, but statistically point of view are always shallow that trained to see only in one perspective that required by the force to compare for the publication needs.

Give a different view, things looks brighter instead of gloomy. haha..

As our government always practice positive thinking and look at the bright side with a vision that create what we want to be, instead of letting the world tared you apart.  It might make a happy feeling for a small group of pessimism people that always predict the worst.  But the impact could be devastating.

Singapore is a good testimonial for the law of universe that says "there is no prayer that goes UN-answered", if you are wise, "Believe" is the key and the law will act.  This is the secret of the Daishonin Teaching, not only work for people that practiced, it should work for all.  That justified the law is always constant if you believe in it.  Its compassionate love, in the eyes of law everything is equal.

Ocean

Hi,

Perhaps those who are good in finance can interpret this.

Subject: Fw: Singapore is 8th Most Indebted Nation in the World !

Pls see attached latest article from reputable Fortune magazine.
Harre Singh D'Thakur

Yes, as a fund manager myself , I was shock at 16/8/2011 issue of
Fortune Magazine that showed Singapore has a sovereign debt of US$254
billion(95% of GDP). At 8th position, we are just behind 7th position
USA (indebtedness of US14.3 trillion - 99% of GDP). Japan is No. 1
with  indebtedness of US$13.8 trillion(234% of GDP). Guess we were all
in the dark - the size of our govt.'s sovereign indebtedness.

Japan is OK as it borrowed 100% from its own citizen (thru' Postal
Savings Accounts) and its debt is in Yen(no FX risks).

US debt is 32% foreign-owned and is in US$(no FX risks). US Fed (as a
Central Bank) can print US $ notes to pay any coupons & fulfill all
treasuries redemption if worst comes to worst. Like Japan, USA can
NEVER default as they both can print Yen and US$ respectively to repay
ALL sovereign debts/obligations they owned locally and to foreigners
alike.

Singapore govt. borrowed S$ from our CPF thru MAS/govt long term
bonds. The bulk (no one outside PMO/GIC/Temasek know the figure) is
converted to foreign currencies(with FX risks) and invested overseas.
Late ex-President Ong TC tried but failed to get such info, despite
govt. denial. These foreign investment is subject to FX risks and as
MAS cannot print S$ at will (under Currency Board regime), Singapore
govt. is limited in its response to adverse FX risks and may not have
enough to repay CPF Board in S$ at the end of the day. We may not
default, but our diminished foreign investment in S$ terms may face a
huge shortfall ! !

Did you folks give permission to govt. too ?

Compared with Norway, Sweden, China, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and UAE that
have invested sovereign funds overseas, our GIC's and Temasek's
returns are much lower (notice how GIC/Temasek always FAILED to
provide comparison of their annual performance with others). These
were always reported in absolute and not bench-marked. Bet you - they
would not fail to highlight their out-performance against these
foreign sovereign funds if these were so !

The govt. should use our CPF money to invest locally in more schools &
universities(generous subsidies/scholarship to citizens only), more
subsidised HDB flats(citizens only), more hospitals & medical training
capabilities(citizens only) and better transport, etc. These are good
and safe infrastructure investment on this island-state and is in S$ -
there is also no FX risks, just like Japan and USA.

Therefore, people......vote wisely.

Benefits of Eating fruits

Eating Fruit on Empty Stomach

This will open your eyes ! Read to the end and then send it on to all on your e-list. I just did !

Dr Stephen Mak treats terminal ill cancer patients by an "un-orthodox" way and many patients recovered.

Before he used solar energy to clear the illnesses of his patients, he believes on natural healing in the body against illnesses. See his article below.

It is one of the strategies to heal cancer.
As of late, my success rate in curing cancer is about 80%.

Cancer patients shouldn't die. The cure for cancer is already found - its in the way we eat fruits.

It is whether you believe it or not.

I am sorry for the hundreds of cancer patients who die under the conventional treatments.

EATING FRUIT
We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths.

It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and *when* to eat the fruits.

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS!

FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH

If you eat fruits on empty stomach, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD.

Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit.

The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so due to the bread taken before the fruit.

In the meantime the whole meal of bread & fruit rots and ferments and turns to acid.

The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.

So please eat your fruits on an *empty stomach* or before your meals !

You have heard people complaining :

Every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc.. etc..

Actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach.

The fruit mixes with the putrefying of other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat !

Greying hair, balding, nervous outburst and dark circles under the eyes all these will *NOT* happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.

There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter.

If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the * SECRET * of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only * fresh* fruit juice, NOT from the cans, packs or bottles.

Don't even drink juice that has been heated up.

Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all.

You only get its taste.
Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice.

If you should drink the fresh fruit juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it.

You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse or detoxify your body.

Just eat fruits and drink fresh fruit juice throughout
the 3 days.

And you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look !

KIWI:
Tiny but mighty.
This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber.
Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.

APPLE:
An apple a day keeps the doctor away?
Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke.

STRAWBERRY:
Protective Fruit.
Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging and free radicals.

ORANGE :
Sweetest medicine.
Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer.

WATERMELON:
Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system.

They are also a key source of lycopene the cancer fighting oxidant.
Other nutrients found in watermelon are vitamin C & Potassium.

GUAVA & PAPAYA:
Top awards for vitamin C. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content.

Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation.

Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes.

Drinking COLD water or drinks after a meal = CANCER

Can you believe this ?

For those who like to drink cold water or cold drinks, this article is applicable to you.

It is nice to have a cup of cold water or cold drinks after a meal.

However, the cold water or drinks will solidify the oily stuff that you have just eaten.

It will slow down the digestion.

Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food.

It will line the intestine.

Very soon, this will turn into FATS and lead to CANCER !

It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks.

HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE : ( THIS IS NOT A JOKE! )

Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting.

Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.

You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.

Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.

Sixty percent of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.

Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep.

Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know the better chance we could survive.

A cardiologist says:
if everyone who gets this mail sends it to 10 people, you can be sure that we'll save at least one life.

So lets all do at least 1 good work today.
